به گزارش پایگاه خبری معماری و نما،کتاب فناوری معماری (تحقیق و تمرین) به قلم استفن امیت (Stephen Emmitt) و با ترجمه ی دکتر جواد ایرجی (عضو هیات علمی گروه معماری دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد هشتگرد)، تارا تواره ، بهاره جلال جلالی و دانیال عربعلی در ۲۸۳ صفحه و توسط انتشارات دانشگاه معماری و هنر پارس منتشر شد.
اما در پیشگفتار کتاب فناوری معماری (تحقیق و تمرین) چنین آمده است:
بحث تحقیق، مطالعه و تمرین فناوری های روز دنیا و نحوه به کارگیری آن به عنوان ابزاری در روند طراحی و تولید محصول نهایی معماری، از جمله مباحثی می باشد که امروزه در اکثر مطالعات و نشست های تخصصی و علمی معماری مطرح می شود. این مبحث در کشور ما، در حوزه آکادمیک نیز وارد شده و در قالب رشته هایی نظیر فناوری معماری و در مقاطع تحصیلات تکمیلی در حال تدریس می باشد. در سال های ابتدایی آموزش و مطالعات تخصصی این رشته، کمبود منابع فارسی زبان به شدت احساس شده و با لطف و همیاری اساتید و متخصصین مربوطه، طی سالیان اخیر، این نیاز در حال ترفیع می باشد.
